Cambridge comedian awarded funniest joke of the Fringe 2017

Ken Cheng, a comedian who dropped out of his Cambridge Maths degree to become a professional online poker player, has won Dave's Funniest Joke of the Fringe Award. His one-liner, “I’m not a fan of the new pound coin, but then again, I hate all change.”, was voted the best at the festival by public vote. 

Previous winners include comedic provacateur Frankie Boyle and panel-show regular Ed Byrne.

Cheng is an ADC regular and recently announced that he will be hosting his own Radio Four show in late 2018.
