Scoring after 45 seconds, the Blues took early control. After some dogged closing down on the right, Matt Stock played in Chris Gotch who poked it in from the edge of the box.

Yet the pressure slackened and the game remained even until a corner was met by Paul Hartley, who slammed his header through the UEA keeper. After that, our defence worked out how to play the opposition, forcing them into long balls which were duly swept up by the faultless James Day and Danny Gwyther. UEA didn’t pose a problem for the rest of the game and the Blues maintained good possession in their half of the pitch.

Baxter was always an outlet and he got his reward for his hard work half way through the second half, picking up the ball from a defensive error and rounding the keeper.

The fourth and final goal came from a Baxter who lay off Gotch. Danny Gwyther was the well-deserved man of the match.
