EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Paul Foot to headline Trinity May Ball

Sam Rhodes 23 May 2015

The Cambridge Student can exclusively announce that Trinity May Ball will be graced by the surrealist presence of comedian Paul Foot.

Foot has repeatedly been hailed by the national media as a “comedy genius”, and has appeared on TV panel shows 8 out of 10 Cats and Would I Lie to You. He is particularly known for shows featuring lengthy absurdist tangents and his eccentric dress sense.

Ents officer Miriam Shovel commented “I’m very excited for Paul Foot’s performance at the ball – his quirky humour and penchant for audience participation suggests that he’ll provide a brilliant set, even though he’s an Oxford man!”

Paul Foot will be headlining the comedy tent. Other acts announced include hip-hop legend Grandmaster Flash, though the ball is yet to announce its main headliner. Trinity May Ball (or more properly, First and Third Trinity Boat Club May Ball), is entering its 149th year, and will play host to more than 1800 guests on 15 June.
