EXCLUSIVE: Headliner announced for Pembroke College June Event

Lili Bidwell 22 May 2016

Lonely The Brave have been confirmed as headliners of this year's Pembroke College June Event.

The Cambridge based quintet will be the music headliner for the event which will take place during May week, on Wednesday 15th June. The headliner was announced at 5pm on the event's official Facebook page.

The up and coming band have recently been gaining increasing notoriety, regularly featuring on BBC Radio 1. This week the band celebrated the release of their album 'Things Will Matter', with a gig at Cambridge's Corn Exchange.

The last band to headline the June Event 2014 was The Crookes, another British guitar band.

The theme of this year's Pembroke June Event is 'Celestial', and promises a host of  different forms of musical entertainment and an abundance of themed food catering to everyone's taste.

The event asks attendees to "Step into our starlit playground and feel your spirits soar as Pembroke June Event 2016 brings you a night of indulgence and revelry amongst the clouds."

With the tickets selling out before going on general release, and the fact that some Pembroke students could not buy extra guest tickets this year's event is evidently highly anticipated.
