A 26 year old man has pleaded guilty to sexually harassing and intimidating a woman in Cambridge.

Kristaps Andersons pleaded guilty at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court to groping the breasts of the woman in the Castle Hill area on September 12 at 6pm. The woman was walking with a friend at the time.

Andersons, originally from Latvia, also confessed to using threatening behaviour with the intention to distress the woman, and assault.

Prosecutor Paul Brown said: “The men stood in front of the two women to stop them carrying on and Mr Andersons shoved his hand down the victim’s dress. He then put his arms around the other girl and squeezed very hard, hurting her”.

Representing himself in court, Andersons told magistrates through an interpreter that he had nothing to say in his defence.

The case is suspended until 6th December for a pre-sentence report. Andersons has been released on unconditional bail.
