Matthew Campsie, the Cambridge student reported missing on Friday, has been found safe by the Missing Person Investigation Unit.

Campsie, 21, is an Economics student at Fitzwilliam. He was reported missing after he did not attend a 9 a.m. exam on Friday, and the last available footage showed him leaving his college at 7:46am.

The Missing Person Investigation Unit put out an appeal for people to contact them if they knew his whereabouts, stating that "Police and Matthew's family are growing increasingly concerned for Matthew's welfare”.

However, this morning a spokesperson for the University of Cambridge announced that he had been found “safe and well” on Friday night.
