Cambridge University Student Union (CUSU) is running a competition today where entrants get the chance to win £100 for their JCR or MCR if they show their involvement in today's General Election.

According to the Facebook profiles of the soon to be out-going Sabbatical team, to enter the competition entrants must upload a photo of themselves having voted, tag the Sabb officers, and use the hashtag #IVoted. They will then be entered into a draw for the monetary prize.

Amatey Doku's Facebook post asks students not to take photographs inside the polling station, however, as the Electoral Commission strongly discourages this due to the risk of revealing someone else's vote, which is illegal.

For those who have cast a postal vote, or are not eligible to vote but have encouraged others to, they can also enter by following the same instructions.

Voting in today's General Election opened at 7am and ends at 10pm.
