NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS
Dig! Lazarus Dig!
Dizzying and eccentric wizardry from Cave, back from his recent sojourn as Grinderman. Dig! Lazarus Dig! has all the hallmarks of characteristic Cave: leisurely rockabilly underpinning bleak lyrical tangents.
Just (feat. Alex Greenwald)
While it lacks Thom Yorke’s trademark sneer, Ronson’s remake of the Radiohead classic makes the most of the swaggering brass section that made his Zutons remix so listenable.
Tricky avant-garde electronica from LA-based experimental band. Sounds like Godspeed You, Black Emperor if they’d recorded an album after doing a serious amount of acid then read the Daily Mail.
PETE AND THE PIRATES
Likeable vocals laid over Arctic Monkeys style guitar assault. Creative, frantic and innovative indie-rockers. Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of Jagermeister.
