The Selwyn Snowball committee must be fairly red-nosed at the moment, as a chance indiscretion allowed The Cambridge Student an exclusive insight into what is in store at the highly anticipated Winter Ball.
Rumours coming from inside the Selwyn camp claim that after discussions with veterinarian fellows and the College Council, permission has been given for four live reindeer to be present at the ball.
Deer oh deer, are we meant to be at a ball? Image: Selwyn Snowball
The theme is to be announced on Friday 31st October at Clare Cellars. When asked for comment a committee source who chose to remain anonymous didn't give any hint to the theme, but said, ‘"those lucky enough to get a ticket this year, will experience something never seen before at a Cambridge ball".
Last year's theme was Le Chat Noir and the headliners were Hudson Taylor, an Irish band that are Radio 1 favourites and reached number 14 in the charts with their debut EP.
TCS would like to take this opportunity to announce an exclusive competition to win a pair of free tickets to the Selwyn Snowball – just think of us as your fairy godmother… For a chance to go to the biggest winter ball in Cambridge, just ‘like’ The Cambridge Student and Selwyn Snowball 2014 on Facebook, and share this article.
