A further sexual assault was reported early this morning. The incident took place on Sidney Street.

A press release has said: “A loading area in Sidney Street, Cambridge has been temporarily closed whilst officers conduct enquiries in relation to an alleged sexual offence in the early hours of Monday morning. This appears to be an isolated incident”.

David Findlow, Senior Porter of Murray Edwards College, circulated an email at 9.27 this morning, cautioning students and staff to “please ensure their own safety by staying in groups and not visiting secluded areas in Cambridge, when out late at night.”
