Student attacked and robbed on Parker’s Piece

At around 3am on Tuesday morning in the area adjacent to Parker's Piece, a student was targeted by two unknown assailants, one of whom was on a bike, and the other was on foot. The student was on his way back to his residence.

The bicycle was used to knock the student over and the attackers then took his phone and wallet. Although Cambridge has a low crime rate, students are advised to be vigilant especially in places or at times where there is little vehicle or pedestrian traffic.

Parker's Piece has been noted for its density of crime in the past, with its night-time lighting often causing controversy between the council and residents.
