For those that aren’t familiar with it, Cambridge University Tech and Enterprise Club (CUTEC) is a society dedicated to providing Cambridge students the opportunity to explore their entrepreneurial ventures. One such, particularly exciting, opportunity is presenting itself on February 6th.

This event, sponsored by Founder.org, allows teams of students to present their ideas to a guest speaker. The chosen teams will then proceed and, if they make it to the final 10, will be rewarded with $100,000 to aid the start-up of their idea. Who is this guest speaker?  Michael Baum, a veteran entrepreneur with unparalleled experience and a huge range of success within the technology sector.

At the event Michael will give a talk titled: “Building a Billion Dollar Company Takes More than Just a Big Idea”. After this, teams will have 60 seconds to give their pitches and three winners will then be invited to dinner with Michael where they can discuss their ideas further.

There is still room at the event for new teams, so if you have an idea that you think deserves to be heard, sign up!

If you are interested in signing up to the event, please send an email to president@cutec.org.
