The women's Blues lacrosse team had their last league fixture of the season at home against Oxford. The match was postponed due to weather the week before and having previously beaten Oxford 10-6 away, the team was raring to go and finish the league unbeaten.

The Light Blues started strongly, securing the ball from the draw and threatening in the attack from the whistle, Captain Morrill opened the scoring with two well-worked goals that set the tone for how they wanted to dictate the match. Oxford came back with a quick goal but the light blues answered with two more from Birch and Moss leaving the score 4-1 at half time. The Cambridge defensive unit worked extremely well under the pressure of being a man down due to a yellow card on two occasions, forcing the turnover and allowing the attacks to use very clever possession play to run the clock down.

Oxford weren't going down without a fight, managing to score 3 in the second half, however Cambridge applied constant pressure with two more goals from Moss and three more from Morrill. This left the score 9-4 at the final whistle and crowns the Light Blues as undefeated Champions of the South Premiership, a title which they have retained for the ninth consecutive year!

With 10 wins from 10 under their belt, the Blues are looking forward the prospects of the BUCS Championship and Varsity fast approaching.
